PORTFOLIO OF WORK

Past. Present. Future.

The following is a collection of my latest and most meaningful writing projects. While I don't have a lot of pieces published (yet!), I am aspiring to gain more experience and am currently working on more written, audio, and visual projects. I hope you enjoy my work and I invite you to contact me with any questions or opportunities.

This piece holds a dear place in my heart. Highlighting Skate Like a Girl Seattle, the place I learned to skateboard, this article shares a slice of the magic space created by skate instructors like Alexa at SLAG's Womxn and Trans Monday Skate Nights. I originally wrote this for a school project, but then I had the amazing experience of working with SKATEISM and getting published in their mag.

Featured in The Falcon's Special Sex Edition, this editorial compares student responses to the sexual behavior policies of both private and public universities. The Falcon is Seattle Pacific University's independent student newspaper, so this article focuses on SPU student voices.

This is a short Instagram video that I directed and produced for The Falcon's Special Sex Edition to accompany my article comparing universities' attitudes toward sex.

Much of my work for The Falcon was event coverage for the Features section. In order to shake up the monotony of this genre, I decided to center this article around one person: Elvis. Following around the tribute artists hired for a University event, I got to glance inside the life of Seattle's very own Elvis impersonator champion.

This piece, also for The Falcon, was part of the editorial team's initiative to include more long-form, researched editorial pieces in the newspaper. In this article, I explore the EPA's history of ignoring the disproportionate and destructive effects of climate change on communities of color.
